The game, explained simply

You attack. Your opponent defends. Whoever runs out of cards first, wins.

That's the whole idea. Everything below just fills in the details — read it once and the walkthrough will make it click.

Objective

Be the first to get rid of all your cards. The last player holding cards at the end of the game loses and is called the Durak (Fool). All other players who emptied their hand split the pot — the winner is the player who went out first.

The last player still holding cards loses the round — they're the Durak (the "Fool"). Don't be that player.
Setup

Trump
Bottom card of the deck, suit revealed
First attacker
Whoever holds the lowest trump

The bottom card of the remaining deck is placed face-up to determine the trump suit. Trump cards beat any non-trump card, regardless of rank. The deck is then placed on top of it (face-down) so the trump card is still visible underneath.

Card Ranks (low → high)

A higher card beats a lower one of the same suit. The Ace is the strongest ordinary card.

The one exception: every trump outranks every non-trump. Even a lowly trump 6 beats an Ace of a different suit. Trumps are your defensive lifeline — spend them wisely.

Step through a single attack. By the end you'll understand beating, throwing in, and trumps — the three moves that win games.

STEP 1 · ATTACK

The attacker opens
The attacker lays down any card. Here they open with the 7 of spades. The defender — the player to their left — now has to beat it.
1 / 5
What if the defender can't beat a card?
They pick up every card on the table and add it to their hand, then skip their own attack. That's why loading the defender with throw-ins is a core tactic — the more they can't beat, the more they're stuck holding.
Every move you can make

The full rulebook, one card at a time

Attacking
You open the attack with any single card. On later throw-ins the same round, you may only add cards whose rank is already on the table. Max attack cards in a round equals the defender's hand size, capped at 6.
Defending
Beat each attack card individually, using either a higher card of the same suit or any trump. Cover them all and you win the round; leave one uncovered and you must pick up everything.
Throwing in
Podkidnoy
While the defender is defending, any attacker can throw in more cards — but only ranks already lying on the table. This piles pressure on the defender until they run out of beats.
Transfer
Perevodnoy · variant
In transfer tables, instead of defending you may bounce the attack to the next player by adding a card of the same rank. They now face all the cards — and can transfer again if they can.
Picking up
Can't or won't beat everything? Take all cards on the table into your hand and forfeit your turn to attack. It's sometimes smart — but it grows your hand, moving you away from an empty one.
Discard
When a defense succeeds, every card from that round is discarded for good — it never comes back. Then everyone refills to 6 cards and the defender becomes the next attacker.
Refilling your hand
After each round players draw back up to 6 cards — attacker first, then any co-attackers, defender last. Once the deck is empty, no one draws and the trump card at the bottom is the very last card taken.
Winning & losing
When the deck is gone, empty your hand and you're out safely — you keep your share of the pot. The play continues until one unlucky player is left holding cards: the Durak, who loses the stake.
Turn Timer & AFK
Each player has 30 seconds to make a move. A countdown timer is shown on screen. If time runs out, the game auto-plays the best available move (or forces a card pick-up for the defender). After 3 consecutive timeouts you are removed from the game and forfeit your stake.
Still wondering

Common questions

Is Durak luck or skill?
Both — but skill dominates over time. Tracking trumps, timing your throw-ins, and choosing when to pick up separate strong players from beginners.
Can I practice for free first?
Yes. Every lobby has a free demo table against a bot so you can rehearse the flow before staking real USDT.
How fast are withdrawals?
Automatic and on-chain — winnings hit your wallet within about a minute, with no manual approval or lock-up period.
Am I playing real people?
On staked tables, always. No bots sit at real-money games and there's no house edge — the pot is split between the players.
