What kind of poker is this?

No Limit Texas Hold’em, played as a cash game. You get two cards nobody else sees, five more are dealt face up in the middle, and you make the best five-card hand out of the seven. "No limit" means any bet can be your whole stack.

How does a hand actually run?

Accepted Answer

Two blinds are posted, then everyone gets two cards and there is a round of betting. Then three shared cards at once (the flop) and betting; a fourth (the turn) and betting; a fifth (the river) and the last betting round. If two or more players are still in, the best hand takes the pot.

What are the blinds and the button for?

The two players left of the dealer button pay the small and big blind before any cards are dealt, so there is always something worth playing for. The button moves one seat left every hand and the blinds move with it, so everybody pays them equally often.

What can I do on my turn?

Accepted Answer

Fold and give up the hand; check to stay in for free when nobody has bet; call to match the current bet; raise to put in more; or go all-in with your whole stack. The buttons only ever offer what is legal for you at that moment — the server decides, not the app.

What happens when I go all-in for more than my opponent has?

The part nobody could cover comes straight back to your stack, because a bet is only pot money once somebody calls it. Shove 15 into an opponent holding 5 and the pot is 10, not 20 — the other 10 was never at risk and the table shows it returning.

Do I have to show my cards at the end?

Only if showing is what gets you paid. A beaten hand can stay face down, and when everyone folds to you nobody ever finds out what you had — unless you choose to show, which you can always do after the hand.

What happens if I run out of time on a decision?

You get 20 seconds plus a time bank. If it all runs out the table checks for you when checking is free and folds when it is not — never a call, because spending your money for you is not a defensible default. Three of those in a row and you are sat out rather than kept in.

How much does it cost to sit down?

Every table has a buy-in range of 20 to 100 big blinds, and you pick where in it you sit down. Your chips are USDT at one to one — there is no table currency and no exchange rate.

What does the house take?

5% of the pot, capped at 5 big blinds, taken from the pot at showdown and never from your stack. A hand that ends before the flop is not raked at all — no flop, no drop.

I lost all my chips. Is my seat gone?

Accepted Answer

Only if you cannot pay to keep playing. When your stack falls below the big blind, the table offers you chips: add them and you are dealt back in. If your balance cannot cover the smallest rebuy, the seat is freed before the next hand and whatever was left on it goes back to your balance — so the chair goes to someone who can play from it.

Can I step away without losing my seat?

Yes. Sitting out keeps your seat and your chips and simply stops dealing you in, so you pay no blinds while you are away. It is also the cheapest way to leave later: a seat that is not dealt in owes nothing.

How do I leave with my money?

Accepted Answer

Cash out between hands and the whole stack returns to your balance at once. If you are in the middle of a hand you can choose to be cashed out the moment it settles instead — you play out the hand you already paid a blind for, and your chips are back before the next one is dealt.

Why can I not sit back down with a smaller stack?

Accepted Answer

Come back to the same stakes within an hour and your minimum is what you left with. Otherwise a player could win a big pot, stand up and rejoin short, which takes the money they just won off the table and out of reach of the players they won it from.
